Using this resource
Grid Safety provides general information about California outages, household preparedness, and energy options. It is a Grid Stability public resource, independent of electric utilities and government agencies.
Data and information limits
Third-party data can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Verify restoration estimates, outage reports, PSPS events, and safety instructions with your utility and local emergency agencies. A blank map or zero count is not proof that a location has power.
Emergency and medical decisions
This website is not an emergency alert system or medical service. Call 911 in an emergency. Consult your clinician, device supplier, or pharmacist for individualized medical equipment and medication storage instructions.
Programs and financial information
Funding, eligibility, costs, savings, tax treatment, installation timelines, and performance vary. Information on this site does not establish eligibility, reserve funding, or create an installation or service agreement. Verify current terms with the responsible administrator and qualified advisers.
External services
External websites and authorization services operate under their own terms. Use this website lawfully and verify critical information before relying on it.
Responsibility and service limits
Information is supplied without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or availability. Grid Stability’s published service terms limit liability for losses arising from reliance on its informational services, subject to applicable law. You remain responsible for verifying critical information and using these resources lawfully.
Updates
These terms may change as services evolve. Review this page when using the site.
