Make the starting assumptions visible.
Use the kWh shown on your bill, or estimate from a bill total and an assumed effective rate. Actual solar design requires site, roof, shade, tariff, and equipment data.
Use a bill without uploading it
Find the billing period’s kWh and adjust for seasonal changes. Divide a full year of kWh by twelve for a more representative monthly average. This tool does not read or upload PDFs and does not replace a tariff analysis.
Understand your roof
Sun exposure, shade, roof area, orientation, equipment setbacks, and roof condition affect real production and system layout. Use a roof assessment to confirm suitable panel area and expected annual output.

Grid Stability’s UtilityAPI authorization pathway can support a property-specific assessment. Review the consent and data scope before sharing.
Method
Annual usage = monthly kWh × 12. Indicative solar size (kW) = annual usage × target offset ÷ assumed annual yield. It is not a proposal, production guarantee, battery size, or savings estimate. Storage sizing requires a separate load and outage analysis.
