This network is expanding. Connected providers cover parts of their listed states; a state listing does not mean statewide coverage. Missing utilities are unknown, never zero. ODIN is not used by the direct-feed map.
LIVE / PROVIDER REGISTRY

Know what is connected.

California collects SDG&E, SCE, and PG&E directly from their public maps. Additional providers are collected directly from their anonymous public map endpoints every five minutes. Source publication times vary.

Checking source health…

All 50 states + Washington, DC

Connected providers cover only their own territories. Other utilities in the same state may be missing. Unconnected states have unknown outage conditions.

ALL UTILITIES / EIA SERVICE TERRITORIES

A complete inventory. An incomplete live network.

Loading the official distribution utility inventory…

The EIA service-territory inventory identifies which distribution utilities operate in each state and county. It is annual reference data, not an outage feed. Reference: EIA Form 861 utility data ↗. A matched source does not establish full statewide coverage.

What the map can tell you

Customer totals use each utility’s published summary. Geographic markers may be incidents or county summaries, and some utilities mask small outage counts. The map draws source reporting polygons as shaded areas and incident coordinates as solid dots. A county/town summary is not an outage incident or an outage footprint. Markers show approximate locations, not customer addresses. A fresh collection time does not mean the utility just updated its source.

Where a publication timestamp is available, stale feeds older than 45 minutes are excluded. Feeds without publication timestamps are labeled; their publication freshness cannot be confirmed. Failed adapters are excluded from the current total and shown as unavailable. The reported total is a partial observed count, not an estimate of every U.S. outage. California records are never counted twice.

Expansion queue

These providers have not been connected yet. Utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and territories require separate verification. A public map link does not imply a working adapter.
